SpectraFactory.net is a large, homogeneous and dynamic database of synthetic molecular absorption and emission spectra from the optical to mm wavelengths (350 nm -- 3mm, or $\approx$3 - 30000 cm$^{-1}$). Since the aim of this database is to bridge the gap between molecular spectroscopy and astronomical data analysis, spectra are presented in a format that allows an observer to directly compare the model calculations to astronomical observations. The model calculations use a variety of state-of-the-art line lists for about 41 molecules (95 different isotopologues) and use a plane-parallel geometry in the LTE limit; the resulting spectra are presented at any desired resolving power so that they are effectively simulated observations with different instruments. The database is searchable through a web-based interface and users can request additional model spectra to be calculated for parameters which are more suitable for their needs. The database currently contains well over 250,000 model spectra and is continually expanding through these user-defined requests. I will present this database and the web interface, show some examples of its application and outline future updates, modifications and theoretical and laboratory needs.
