Food Secur., 12, 659-678, doi:10.1007/s12571-020-01023-0.The objective of this study was to use the Agricultural Model Intercomparison and Improvement Project Regional Integrated Assessment approach to study the sensitivity of the current agricultural production system to projected climate change. The Free State Province, Republic of South Africa was the area considered for this study. This study demonstrated how the integration between scientific skills in crop, climate, and economy to conduct detailed technical analysis along with the stakeholder engagement, which provided "reality-checks" in terms of technology trends, agronomic practices, policy and so on can offer an interesting alternative in the gaining information form integrated studies of climate change impacts.
