GISS Lunch Seminar Series

The GISS Lunch Seminar Series was originally created as an informal gathering bringing GISS researchers together (with pizza) to learn more about what other members of the institute are doing. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, increased work-from-home schedules, and the adoption of hybrid and virtual seminars, many of our presenters have been researchers from other institutions who have presented their work via remote connection.

Lunch seminars are held early Wednesday afternoons two or three times per month during the academic year. There may be a few seminars during summer. There is normally one talk of perhaps 45 minutes in length, plus ample time for questions and announcements of general interest.

Please contact Maegan DeLessio for further information about the seminars, to volunteer to present a seminar, or to request connection details about how to virtually attend a seminar.

Following are the seminars scheduled for early 2024. Dates are subject to change; please see the main events page for the most recently posted schedule.

Presentation abstracts, slidedecks, and videos are posted as they become available. Slidedecks and videos marked "req" are only available upon request.
