Title: Coupling remote sensing and a sunflower a crop model Presenter: Ronan Trepos Abstract: Remote sensing products provide vegetation indices that can be put in relation with state variables of crop models. There are more and more benefits in coupling these two techniques. In this talk, I will present experiments on the coupling of remote sensing and a sunflower crop model in the context of two ongoing French projects. In the first one, inverse modeling techniques are used to estimate soil properties at the plot scale. In the second one, data assimilation methods are mobilized for the building of a forecasting tool of the yield a few weeks before harvest.
