Travel Schedules: Rooms have been reserved for the evening of 20 September through the morning of 4 October (14 nights), except where participants have requested different dates. Please plan your travel accordingly, or inform us of alterations. Please inform us of your arrival/departure times/locations when they are available so that we may arrange transportation from Simferopol.

Locale: Yalta is a well-known Black Sea resort in the Crimea, the southernmost part of Ukraine, rich in natural and artificial tourist attractions. General information about Yalta and the Crimea is available here


Weather
The weather in September is usually sunny and mild, typical daytime temperature is 20-25C, 15-20C at night. Rains are rare. Average seawater temperature is 22C.

Transportation
Attendees can easily reach Simferopol (SIP) by plane with direct flights from Frankfurt, Istanbul, Moscow, Tel-Aviv, Tashkent, and Yerevan. Numerous direct flights from Kiev (Borispol, KBP) are also available. Simferopol may also be reached by train from Kiev (takes approx. 15 hours). Yalta is 83 km from Simferopol. Although it may be reached by regular bus or taxi from either airport or railway station, we URGENTLY recommend that you let the LOC know your itinerary in order to arrange group transportation from Simferopol to the conference site.

Flight Connections
Many search engines will not provide optimal flights to Simferopol. In some cases, it is most convenient to book rt/to Kiev and then book through Aerosvit or Ukraine International Airlines. Contact information is given below.
