Stable Water Isotope Intercomparison Group, Phase 2 (SWING2)

SWING is a project to compare water-isotope enabled GCM results across modeling groups. The overview webpages and first stage data are available here. The second stage project was initially described here, but is not currently active (as of Jul 2014).

However, the data generated for the project is available via ftp (or using the command line ftp swi.geo.su.se with login swing2). In both cases, the password is "GNIP-Dynscape" and the data are in the directory swing2.

In addition to the original data, we have created an additional repository of derived products from some of the SWING2 netCDF data here. There is a table of summary details (PDF) on the SWING2 models (contributed by Camille Risi) and two sets of summary data:

1) Annual, DJF and JJA data from CAM, ECHAM, GISS ModelE, HadAM, isoGCM, LMDZ, and MIROC models, in both free-running and nudged simulations.
