Session 6. Summary Discussion
The discussion session was wide-ranging. Subsequent to the workshop a more local group (Haidvogel, Hansen, Miller, Rind, Russell, Schmidt and Stone) met and discussed principal conclusions from the workshop. Summaries of the conclusions in four categories (Sea Ice Data Sets, Global Observations, Modeling, and Regional Process Studies) were drafted, respectively, by Hansen, Schmidt, Stone and Haidvogel and transmitted to all participants for revisions. The resulting recommendations are given, respectively, in the four numbered sections of the Executive Summary above.
